Iceland is supposed to be the land of fire and ice and you can literally feel that connection every moment. It is cold, windy and icy on the one hand but mysterious, hot and burning on the other. Mother nature made an awesome piece of land so different from all the other places I have been to before. This Selfportrait was the most challenging, freezing but also satisfying piece I have been creating so far to represent the emotions that I connect with this stunning country that will forever stay close to my heart.

Surreal worlds and landscapes always cherish my inspiration. I discovered this stunning place of nature many years ago in Iceland and knew I had to came back one day. I have prepared for this picture for a very long time and knew exactly what I wanted to do there, so here you are! Float with me into "The blue..."

The moon is they highest symbol for change....
It´s different phases - full moon, waning moon, new moon, waxing moon, it influences the sea levels - the tide - ebb and low and it influences our souls since centuries.

Since many years people tell themselves stories about the moon, it´s spiritual meanings and influences. Farmers all over the world seed, plant and harvest according to the moon phases. Female menstruation is likely to be influenced by the moon as well…
Many cultures understand the moon as female - "La Luna" for example - it represents the instinct and phantasy.

Luna... is a surreal contemporary series of photographs. It tells the stories of our transformational and emotional feelings - the many phases that we live through our lives - represented by the Luna symbolic. 
Every piece is named after a moon goddess from different parts of our world and from different centuries origin.

This series consists of exclusively unique artworks - one of a kind and individually created with attached silver highlights to illuminate the moon!
They are printed in 30 x30 cm on Hahnemühle PhotoRag - a 308 g FineArt cotton paper and personally signed and named on the back.
