We live in a world whose focus is fixed on things of lesser value, and it is easy to forget what matters, what is truly important. People are becoming less mindful, not thinking about the future and how implementing slight changes can make an enormous difference concerning nature and its resources. I wish to change that. My voice may not be that great in reaching an enormous audience, but I will make my stand.

To make a change,  I decided to team up with amazing eco-friendly vendors for achieving opulence in sustainability via luxurious wedding styling inspiration. Yes! It is and it will always be possible to curate an extraordinary wedding experience without harming any part of our planet nor a human being.

This story begins in the shooting location that we chose, it is the castle Zeilitzheim built in 1679. Today this baroque castle is a scenic wedding location in the heart of the Bavarian winw region, but what is important is that castles are an exemplary reminder that no matter how old, with good care something endures and becomes timeless. What is even more amazing is that this castle has a sustainable and ecological winery, producing only high-class wines with specific delicious flavor.

For this eco-friendly wedding aesthetic, we pulled colors from the castle: white, light, and navy blue with golden accents. The decor design under the baton of Heidigold was exuberant with lavish touches like vintage stationary, tin place plates, ornamented porcelain plates, a real vintage golden cutlery, natural linen napkins, and beeswax candles. We carefully chose flowers that were in that season and growing in Europe. A beautiful medley of thistles, hydrangea, catkin, thyme, and asparagus.

It was important to choose the perfect person for stationary that works exclusively in sustainable ways. Without a doubt, that was Mauela, from “feinimdesign” who works only with natural papers produced in Germany. She channels her designs through a paper supplier who is focusing on reducing water consumption, reducing waste, using renewable energy, and is FSC certified. She is a wonderful person who takes care of everything to be eco-friendly including the application of paint, the use of environmental papers, and the commissioning of environmental printers. Her vision is all about the importance of having a holistic and sustainable wedding stationary.

In charge of the cake for this luxurious wedding was Sabrina Gotzmeister who composes her cakes from ingredients that are regionally and organically grown. She is dedicated that much that even the “golden” decor was produced sustainably in Germany.  You can also see that there are beautiful macarons which were made by Tafelzier, a local manufacturer and master at french patisserie. They are completely handmade with high-quality ingredients.

The makeup and hair products used by Moderngrace are all natural since she is focusing primarily on a sustainable lifestyle. When it comes to the wedding rings for this eco-friendly wedding, they were handmade by a local goldsmith – Susanne Anna Meiner; who uses recycled gold or gold from fair mined resources. Customers can always get insight from which mine is their gold excavated.

As you swoon over these haute couture breathtaking dresses handmade by the talented Ann Wiberg in Copenhagen, rest assure that they are made sustainably. She reuses antique fabrics, laces, and embroideries. What makes her even more devoted is that she hand dyes them and finally transforms the fabrics into awe-inspiring pieces of designer art.

Embrace the elegance in its finest form by browsing through our glamorous wedding inspiration aesthetic. You will find out that reaching sustainable opulence is easily possible and can make an important impact on the environment!
