Manuela and Daniel`s wedding in Bonn, the northwest of Germany was truly special and if I’m being honest, I was especially nervous about their wedding photography for the simple reason that Manuela is truly an outstanding photographer herself and she chose me to create visual memories of her special day. The couple asked me specifically to photograph them within my FineArt, dark and romantic aesthetic with a special focus on black and white works.

The fact that she placed her trust in me with a special wish to honor her beloved late parents throughout the day, made me appreciate the experience even more. I knew I was going to pour my heart and soul to do justice and commemorate them. The moodiness of my artistic expression of their wedding day was wholeheartedly welcomed. Their tying of the knot was marked with two ceremonies on the same day, firstly a civil ceremony at an 18th-century castle in Bonn – the north west of Germany – „Schloss Miel“, following a free ceremony led by Daniel’s aunt in the comfort of the garden in their beautiful home. And let me tell you this was no ordinary wedding that you can encounter anywhere. They are such sweet souls, relaxed, and the coolest couple on earth. No one was spared from overwhelming emotions, not even Daniel who cried at the free ceremony. I will always remember this as the most remarkable and unique wedding that I have witnessed. Just two souls who have found each other in this world, worshiping their authenticity to the fullest and celebrating love on their own terms.
